Here's what you can do

1. Join GABA as a business or contributing member.

2. Send a message to the city council. Tell them to delay the homeless housing project slated for the Wells Park neighborhood until we evaluate a new comprehensive solution.

Please describe how the homeless and/or mentally ill have impacted you and ask the Council to delay the Single Site Permanent Supportive Housing RFP process.

The Problem

It's simple. The homeless and mentally ill are not being treated fairly and are left on the streets to fend for themselves.

While the Council and Mayor have over the years tried to do something, and are well-intentioned, the problem only gets worse because the services that are offered become a magnet for more homeless and mentally ill.

The Solution

A full-service comprehensive treatment facility outside the city for the homeless and mentally ill.

It will have housing, health care, mental health care, substance abuse treatment and job training.

Providers would be able to work together to deliver comprehensive care services at the new facility.
